Blake Abramovitz

I began writing poetry at fifteen after watching Oliver Stone’s “The Doors” one summer night and then getting so drunk I couldn’t stand up.  Since that fateful moment poetry has been an organic part of my life, even as I proceeded to build a career as an actor in Hollywood, and still today as I develop my voice as a yoga and meditation teacher in Venice, CA.  I don’t make a mess of myself anymore, but the mad passionate yearning to give voice to what mysteries lives in me has stayed, and I bring poetry into all that I do.
